Hampton Inn Louisville - Northeast

I haven't stayed at the hotel myself, but I book rooms there often for my technicians when they're working in the area. It's their preferred place to stay. I want to recognize Caesar at the reservation desk. Maybe I call so often, or maybe my voice is easy to recognize, but he knows it's me when I phone. He's courteous and helpful every time, and goes out of his way to handle what I need for a reservation. Good employees like that are hard to find. I hope the hotel recognizes the great work Caesar does.

I usually find the 1-5 rating scale too limiting. On a 1-10 scale, plenty of places might earn a 9, while calling any property or restaurant a perfect five-star place feels like a big claim. Out of all the reviews I've written, this is the first time I've felt a place truly deserved full marks. SPA007

Getting to the hotel on the roads around it is a pain, though that's not Hampton Inn's fault. Once inside, the layout is good, and the room is small but works well. The amenities are great, and the shower feels modern with excellent lighting.

The rates were very reasonable, and we found the staff friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. There also seems to be a nice patio by the pond, with a path around it, but it was winter, so we couldn't use it. The location gets busy. It's near an interstate ramp and a fairly active cross street, so road noise carries. A strip mall, fast food places, and a big box store are just down the road, adding congestion at most hours. There's also a Japanese restaurant sharing the driveway, if that's your thing. In our room the shower head had weak pressure. The metal drain looked fancy, but it made a pinging noise as drops fell from the leaking shower head.
