Embassy Suites Lubbock

The lobby and central area are nice, with lots of elevators, and there's a pleasant outdoor area too. Our room needs updating. I explained the problems to Hilton, and they made things right with points. I'd come back, but hope for a better room next time. They also have happy hour from 5:30-7 with two free drinks.

The only real plus was a decent breakfast. For nearly $200 a night, I expected far better, and this felt like a waste of money. We were there for a sports tournament and won't return. The room was dated and dirty, with crumbs, a dirty table, rusty metal bits in the bathroom, and a damaged shower nozzle and sink. The pullout couch was torn underneath, and the sheets were dirty with grass all over them. When I called the desk for clean sheets, they said they had no clean ones or pillows, so everyone had to squeeze into the queen beds. It was not a restful night and nothing looked or felt clean. Two doors nearest our room were out of order when we arrived, despite our asking the front desk which door to park by. The staff weren't knowledgeable or helpful.

I keep choosing Embassy Suites when I travel, and this one gives me reasons to continue. The staff were very nice, the place was clean, and the location was convenient, easy to get in and out of. The rooms were comfortable, though a bit beat up and due for a handyman or makeover. I love all the plants and greenery in these hotels. The layout feels welcoming and calming, and the rooms have tons of space, about twice what many other hotels offer. The evening social with free snacks and drinks is a nice extra, and the breakfast is awesome. It's well worth the price, and I'd stay here again and keep looking for Embassy Suites in other towns.

This was my second stay, and I'll definitely be back. The staff were super friendly and gave me and the kids complimentary drinks and snacks. My son loved how huge our room was, and it had two TVs. The hotel is big inside, with an indoor pool and a hot tub that was actually hot. Breakfast was solid, and they'll make omelets if you ask. It's right by South Plains Mall, so shopping is easy.
