Motel 6 Lubbock, TX

The location is fine, but Room 121 was very dirty and smelled bad. The toilet was dirty, the floors hadn’t been swept, and the bathroom wasn’t clean at all. It looked like housekeeping had rushed through or skipped the room. We asked for it to be cleaned, but it still wasn’t done properly. I don’t complain much, but this was too much. The place needs a deep clean and more attention from staff. I wouldn’t stay here again unless the cleaning improves.

Around 6am, when I was checking out, a staff member confronted me and shouted without any clear reason. They also refused to return my deposit, which made a very disappointing stay even more frustrating. It felt unprofessional and left a very negative impression. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant, respectful stay.

There isn’t a laundry room, and it doesn’t look like there will be one soon. This hotel needs a major renovation. The room service people are rude, and so is the manager. It feels like nobody wants to do their job, which is why the place stays crappy. Stay here only as a last resort.

Brenda is very nice and helpful. She always has a smile, which puts you at ease if something comes up with the accommodations. I’ve stayed here several times over the past few years, and I’m still waiting for a refund from my last stay a week ago. Manager Rosa said I was entitled to it because of bad hygiene practices and dirty rooms that can lead to roach and rodent infestations. Rosa should keep her word and do the honorable thing. OyoRooms should find a more capable and HONEST manager. If she says you’ll get a refund, get THAT in writing, because her words mean nothing.
