Rodeway Inn

For an unplanned night with my kids, it worked well: inexpensive, easy to find, and in a good location. It was quiet and clean, which was what I needed, and having WiFi included was a nice perk. The towels and pillows are old, though, and the carpet and bathroom fixtures are showing their age.

I needed a low-cost room for two nights, mainly with decent air conditioning and bedding, and those basics were fine. I asked for a ground-floor room and got one. There were quite a few minor problems: worn towels, a remote that didn't work, and watery waffle batter. I've had better rooms at similar prices nearby, but if I were in a pinch, I wouldn't mind staying here again.

The room was clean and had a mini fridge, microwave, and a comfortable chair. The staff member was rude, though. I accidentally left my key behind and asked for another one. She kept talking at me while making it, then the key she gave me didn't work. When I went back, she spoke to me like I was stupid and didn't know how to use a key, even though I'd already gotten into the room. Better customer service would have earned this a higher rating.

The bed had bugs, mud, and makeup on it and in the sheets. There was water damage all over the ceiling, and the door frame was cracked. This filthy motel was awful, with the worst customer service I've had anywhere. We went to the front office for a refund after seeing the condition, but they refused to give us all of our money back because we'd spent 20 minutes unpacking and packing in the room. I wouldn't wish a stay here on my worst enemy. Don't waste your money.
