Super 8 by Wyndham Lubbock Civic Center North

I've stayed here twice, both times checking in late at night, and the woman at the front desk was great. The room was decent, clean, and the bed was fine. Nothing fancy, but the accessible rooms are good and they welcomed my service dog.

I had to put a relative here for a few days after storm damage at his home, and this was an absolute last resort. The whole property needs renovation and deep cleaning. His room hadn't been cleaned in almost a week, and the sheets and towels were dingy. I didn't feel safe or clean there, and the neighborhood seemed rough. The woman at the front desk was extremely nosy, and the clientele felt very sketchy. It's a complete dump and shouldn't be part of a hotel chain. Never again. I wouldn't let my dog stay there. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

For the price, this is a great hotel, and the people at the front desk were very nice.

It's now been a month and I'm still waiting for my $138 refund. I went back to the hotel to ask the manager about it. They took my name and phone number, but the money still hasn't come through. My experience with room 201 was better than at other hotels at the same price. The room was very clean and nice, and the manager was great. The only issue was a mistake that meant I was supposed to get $138 back. After two weeks without the refund, I asked for my money back, and now it's nearly a month.
