Hampton Inn Madison

The parking lot lights flicker and flash at night so badly it feels like a strobe light war. Someone with seizures could easily be triggered, so please fix them. Inside, you can hear people in the hallway and in neighboring rooms because the walls are thin. The rooms were typical for a Hampton and relatively clean, except under the beds and behind furniture. My service dog always finds hair ties, M&Ms, candy, clothing tags, and other things there. We spend 300 days a year in hotels, and housekeeping everywhere seems to miss under beds, behind furniture, and behind curtains.

I had a bad interaction with Sarah, the front desk manager. While I was charging my Tesla, I used the restroom and made some tea. She was rude and confrontational about it, and raised her voice when I said I'd report her to management.

The accessible rooms worked well for us, and we parked our truck and trailer without any trouble. The staff were friendly too. Breakfast was fantastic, and the woman serving it in the morning made my day.

Its location next to McDonalds works perfectly for my overnight route, with other easy, quick restaurants nearby. The bedding was crisp and white, and the bathroom was bright and sparkling clean. But the tile floor in the room was dirty, nowhere near five-star clean. My door had a large gap with light coming through, and you could actually see the hall carpet. The lock barely caught the latch. I would've switched rooms, but I had my dog and all our stuff to move again.
