Four Winds Inn

We stayed two nights in rooms up on the upper hill, and they were extremely clean and cosy. The staff were kind, conscientious, diligent, and very responsive. We got more value and amenities than we expected for the price. It’s an affordable, comfortable way to enjoy an expensive part of Vermont. We look forward to returning to Four Winds.

I only stayed one night and wish it had been longer. The room was large, clean, and had a very comfortable bed and hot water. There was even a card table in the closet for games. It was one of the best rooms I’ve had, including at expensive places. Definitely recommend!

The motel itself was fine and fairly clean. The shower head was broken, but there were no bugs. I believe it’s run by an elderly couple. The man was kind, and the office had a quirky atmosphere. The woman came into the kitchen area, yelled at us for having the included continental breakfast, and asked what room we were in. I’m pretty sure she profiled us. She indignantly took the food away and said breakfast ended at 9am, though that time wasn’t posted anywhere. Worst experience we had in the area. Not nice.

The staff were professional and helpful, and the room was very clean. It had a microwave and a full-size fridge. We used the nice field and fire pit out back. The pool looked inviting, but it was too cold for us to swim, though some young kids had no problem getting in. The Wilson House is about five minutes down the road. I’d recommend this place and stay again.
