SpringHill Suites by Marriott Dallas McKinney/Allen

The manager was no help, and the “executive housekeeper” was the rudest person I’ve ever dealt with. She also lied about how long we said it would take to gather our things. This was a terrible example of customer service. Our reservation was mishandled before that: when we arrived, staff had already checked another guest into our room using our credit card. We agreed to make do with one bed instead of two for the night. The next day, they offered to move us to a double room that had opened up. We packed our belongings, but then they changed their minds because housekeeping was about to leave.

We spent three nights here while exploring the area, since we’re getting ready to move there. Cori and Alexis were amazing, and the staff were great in general. The hotel was comfortable and clean, and breakfast had pretty good options. Thanks for an enjoyable stay. We look forward to coming back soon!

SpringHill is my favorite hotel brand right now for both family and business trips. I have four kids, so being able to fit six people in one room is really nice. This particular SpringHill also had one of my favorite features, a walk-in closet. It keeps the room from getting cluttered and gives my daughter and me a separate place to change when a boy is using the bathroom. Marriott hotels are known for good breakfast, and the SpringHill suite had a lovely eating area and a lovely continental breakfast. The brand is reliable, clean, comfortable, and well priced.

We found bed bugs in our room during Valentine’s Day weekend at the SpringHill Suites McKinney. When I told the staff, they brushed me off, and one person said, “Oh, that’s nothing.” Bed bugs are not a normal amenity. It was a disgusting stay, and the response made it feel like the hotel didn’t care about hygiene or guest safety. I don’t want to risk bringing bed bugs home, so stay somewhere else. My family and I will never stay at a Marriott again. Beware.
