Sleep Inn & Suites Meridian - Bonita Lakes

We had a clean room and check-in went smoothly. The guy at the desk was very nice and training someone. But my wife and I were exhausted and slept past checkout. It was only 11:30am, and I understand late checkout may not be allowed for diamond members. I would have left promptly if they'd called our room phone. Instead, a housekeeper opened the door and woke us up rudely, saying checkout had passed, someone had knocked 30 minutes earlier, and she'd call the police if we weren't out in 10 minutes. My wife and I were both naked and asked her to leave. It was bizarre and uncomfortable. I should have latched the extra lock, but they could simply have called the room. If privacy matters to you, don't stay here. And the way they answer people's reviews is unbelievably rude.

This place is badly kept, and I'd sleep in my car before staying here again. The smell was awful from the start, and my room door was open when I arrived. It looked like someone had been lying on the bed, and the TV was hanging sideways. The lamp base on the nightstand was filthy, like it hadn't been wiped in years. If something that obvious isn't cleaned, what about the things that matter more? The lounge area was dreadful, and the bathroom was worse. I don't know if the black stuff was mold or mildew, but I wouldn't want it in a shower where I'm trying to get clean. The toilet seat was almost falling off. The smell kept coming back to me too. If you don't use soap, cleaner, disinfectant, or something, human odors take over. Let your nose guide you when you walk into a place. Rooms already cost too much, and I shouldn't have to wipe filth off a lamp just to turn it on and off.

Patrick made the hotel worth staying at. He worked hard to take care of everything we needed and clearly put a lot of effort into making us feel welcome as guests. I only met him during this stay, but I'd consider coming back if he's in charge. He deserves a substantial raise.

The neighborhood was noisy, with trains and highway sounds, and after only three hours I already had a long list of problems. The bathroom floor and fixtures were dirty, the tiles in the shower were unclean and moldy, and there were stains on the pillowcase. The bathroom lights were burned out too. The place is run-down and below standard.
