My Hotels.com reservation for a March stay somehow showed February dates. Hotels.com told me to contact the hotel about changing them. Someone there said they’d check with management and call the following Monday about whether the March dates could be accommodated, but I never heard back. When I eventually called again, they brushed me off, said nothing could be done, and sent me to Expedia. By then I’d already been bounced between Hotels.com, the hotel, and Expedia several times, with nobody taking responsibility or helping fix it. What should have been a simple service issue became really frustrating. There was no follow-up, and the constant redirection made it feel like customer service wasn’t a priority. Very disappointing.

Oscar went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, and staff like him made the stay more pleasant. The facility was excellent, and the rooms were spacious with comfortable beds.

The look is cute and seems fairly new, and it’s handy for getting to the beach. The staff were nice enough, but the two or three workers out front didn’t help as we hauled our suitcases up a few steps and through the manual door. It felt like they lacked the awareness for exceptional service. The bathroom had dirty tiles and broken hooks. Our room was small, the only window faced a wall, and the bathroom door was only semi-private. I found out at check-in that there was no fitness center. I’d also paid for an extra breakfast plan, but it covered only four or five items, not the whole menu, and Priceline hadn’t made those limits clear. You might want to look at the Fritz or other nearby places.

The name Waldorf Towers in Miami is used for two distinct properties. On Ocean Drive in South Beach, it refers to a historic boutique hotel with 1930s Art Deco design. That three-story property has 43 rooms, an on-site bar, and Atlantic Ocean views. It’s open to guests, and rates are said to start around $123 a night in 2026. The other property is Waldorf Astoria Hotel & Residences Miami, a planned supertall tower in Downtown Miami at 300 Biscayne Boulevard, across from Bayfront Park. The design uses nine staggered cantilevered glass cubes, and the planned building is 100 stories, or 1,049 feet, which would make it Florida’s tallest and Miami’s first supertall skyscraper. As of February 2026 it was still under construction, having passed the 50th floor by late 2025, with completion estimated for January 2028 and topping out expected in late 2026. The hotel and residences aren’t open for occupancy yet, though residential sales are active with limited inventory left. The South Beach site is for short-term lodging, while the Downtown project will combine a hotel and private residences. Starting prices are listed at about $3.15 million for residences.

I visited over the Christmas holidays in 2025 and have no complaints about the hotel. The staff and overall cleanliness were awesome. Across the street at the Icon restaurant, the hostess, servers, and waitresses were all excellent and friendly, greeting everyone with a smile and making us feel welcome. Personally, I’d give the hotel, restaurant, and staff at both places a perfect 10.
