Residence Inn by Marriott Newport/Middletown

Our family of five often has trouble finding a room with enough space, and the two-bedroom suite worked out perfectly. It had two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, a sofa in a separate living area, and a kitchen area for anyone who likes to cook while away. The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and accommodating. It's just outside Newport, in a quieter area, with restaurants, grocery stores, and a CVS within walking distance. The free continental breakfast was just okay. The waffles you make yourself and toasted bagels were the only things worth trying. The eggs looked and tasted fake, with a very weird texture, and the bacon was thinner than paper. I'm not complaining since breakfast was included, and that's really my only critique. Everything else was fantastic!

We've been here 32 days and have 14 more to go while waiting for our Winter Lease to start. Staying in a hotel for 46 days with a toddler and an infant isn't exactly awesome, but it's been great so far. The breakfast is nice, the coffee is good, and parking is decent. I'd recommend the place and stay again. In fact, we are coming back when our winter lease ends in May for the final 12 days of War College. It's 6 minutes to Gate 1. :)

The only complaint was that the A/c would change to 74 degrees at different times. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good, and the location worked well for dining and shopping. Great stay overall.

Breakfast was included and perfectly good for a hotel, and the rooms were roomy in a very nice hotel. They were happy to let us check in early, which we appreciated. We had a great weekend here. For a more affordable stay near Newport, this worked well even though it's a few miles out: the Wharf was just a 10-15 minute drive. The hotel shuttle is $8 per person, but Uber was easy to get and cost us $15, so we chose that. No complaints, and I'd gladly recommend it.
