Super 8 Motel - Milford/New Haven

The location is pretty good, but the rooms still need plenty of work. It looks like they were renovated recently, though cold air came through a big gap under the door. Some rooms seemed to be missing a mirror, others had no table or chair, and some lacked a microwave or fridge. In one, the shower water wasn’t draining.

There were problems all over the room: bathroom mold, sheets that didn't fit the bed, a broken toilet seat, and curtains that couldn't fully close. So many corners seem to have been cut that the place might as well be a sphere. I'd believe the negative reviews.

We were in town for a concert in Bridgeport and stayed one night. The reviews had made us a bit nervous, but the room was clean and smelled nice, and the beds were really comfortable. The gentleman at the desk made the stay a good experience. The weekend rate was great and the location was convenient. I'd come back.

The window frames and shower curtain were moldy, and the floors had been painted black to hide who knows what. My linens had burn marks all over them. I wouldn't have let my dog sleep on those, and they should have been thrown away. I also watched them carry a disgusting, stained mattress upstairs to put back in a room. That belonged in the dumpster. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Don't spend your money at this Super 8, just drive on by.
