Quality Suites Milwaukee Airport

Our stay on 02Jan2025 was really disappointing. The pool was cloudy from too many chemicals, the hot tub was extremely foamy, and the pool area was freezing. We also had to deal with a $150 deposit, more than I've seen at much nicer hotels. In the room, the toilet kept running for ages after flushing, the furniture was stained, and the couch bed we'd requested had no bedding. There was just one bar of soap and no liquid body wash, so everyone had to choose between washing hands and body. The room clearly hadn't been cleaned before check-in. It looked like someone had made the beds and put out toilet paper and stopped there. There was gum on a lamp, hair on the shower walls, a drain that filled faster than it emptied, urine on the back of the toilet seat, crumbs on the floor, greasy marks by the peephole, and handprints on the TV and mirror. One remote didn't work, and one TV wasn't connected to basic cable, so it was useless for our kids. When I called for WiFi help, the front desk hung up. I called back about the bedding, and they asked, "why do you need it?" and told me to come down and get it. At the pool, we mentioned being hung up on, but they denied it. Another guest said that employee had treated them poorly too.

The last day was awful. Staff accused me of smoking, which I don't do, harassed me, and wouldn't provide clean bedding unless I paid extra. At checkout, Max tried to use the smoke claim to keep my deposit, even though housekeeping said there was no smoke smell. After checkout, I was told to leave right away while I waited for my ride. Earlier in the stay, staff repeatedly hung up on me and called my room late at night without saying anything. They also treated me differently once they knew my room number, and my key was deactivated while I was in the pool, leaving me locked out in my swimsuit. The first two rooms I was given were dirty, with old chicken wings and dirty socks under the couch in the first one. When I asked for a clean room, manager Max was rude and visibly upset. I was moved to a third room, which was clean. I stayed at Quality Suites Milwaukee Airport from Feb 6 (3 PM) to Feb 9 (11 AM). It was one of my worst hotel experiences: stressful, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. I wouldn't recommend this property and will pursue a full refund.

The airplane views were beautiful, and I enjoyed watching planes take off and land during my solo staycation. I booked the room with a hottub to relax, but dirt in the jets put a stop to that. I used to work for a major hotel chain and know there’s a certain way those tubs should be cleaned. As a former housekeeper, I also don't expect to see hair in the shower, fridge, or on the sink. There were dead flies on the ledge where I wanted to sit. I couldn't connect my Amazon Prime account to the TV, I guess. Given what I paid and how highly the agent spoke of the place's ratings, I'd hoped it would be better. I might not come back.

At Quality Suites Milwaukee Airport, even getting into our room was a hassle because the keys didn't work properly. Worse, the room was infested with bed bugs. We reported it right away and asked for a refund, but staff refused and only offered to move us to another room. The next day, the carpet had been removed from the original room, which made it clear the problem was real and serious. With the poor service and hygiene issues, we'll never stay here again and don't recommend it to anyone.
