Rodeway Inn

A clean, comfortable little inn at a fair price, right near the main strip. The shower’s heat lamp was a nice touch, and figuring out the controls was easy. I’d make this my first choice next time I’m in Morro Bay.

The noise from next door is rough. Whenever someone shuts a door in the neighboring room, the whole bed shakes. Leaving the windows open is too loud, but closing them makes it too hot. I’d rather camp.

It’s a clean, family-run motel at an inexpensive price in downtown Morro Bay. I gave it three stars because it’s a nice place, but it isn’t a four-star hotel. The owners seem to handle the maintenance themselves. If you’re expecting air-conditioning, fancy decor, or some other location, stay at The Inn. Who needs air-conditioning in Morro Bay anyway? City people, I guess. Stay home!

The location and price are good, but the noise would make me choose somewhere else next time. I was downstairs, and the family above me had kids running, banging, flushing toilets, and slamming doors. There’s no sound buffer between floors, so you can even hear someone peeing. The room itself was clean but worn: the shower and tub glaze is peeling, the support underfoot felt weak, the wall squeaked when I leaned on it to put on my shoes, bits of vinyl flooring were coming up, and the door had no insulation.
