Staybridge Suites Philadelphia-Mt. Laurel by IHG

I was in New Jersey for a funeral and found the room comfortable, clean, and free of bad odors. It had a microwave, refrigerator, and a large TV, and I slept well in the bed with its lovely bedspread. Shawn at the front desk was delightful and ready to help with any issues. Pets are welcome too.

Applebee's next door was a good dinner option, and the hotel itself was a great place to stay. The rooms were good, breakfast was great, and coffee was available free around the clock. I did notice the kitchen sink's garbage disposal hadn't been cleaned, and the door took some figuring out at first. I probably wouldn't have noticed those things if I hadn't been looking for flaws.

We arrived at 4:30 after my mother in law's funeral and were given the first floor room I'd asked for, #105. We'd stayed here twice a couple of years back and it had been decent, but this time the condition was bad. The eating area wall had soot-like marks and pink stuff, glitter was scattered across the kitchen floor, and the appliances were beat up. The bathroom felt institutional, lighting was poor throughout, the carpet was stained, and the couch and chair were very worn. The curtains had burns and tears inside. For the price, I don't think the room should have been rented. We didn't enjoy the stay.

I've returned many times because the stays are comfortable and usually quiet. There are plenty of nearby places to eat and a Walmart close by if you've forgotten something. They're remodeling now, but I never heard any noise from the work.
