The Francesca cottage was a delight: a lovely stenciled wall, a big comfortable bed with snowy linens that felt like sleeping in a marshmallow, fluffy towels, and good AC. Birds sang all around, and the walk down to the beach was easy. We enjoyed the pool area, though a few more umbrellas would help, and found some great candles in the little gift shop. The restaurant was beautifully decorated with seaside oil paintings and striped pillows, and the food was delicious. From our first phone call, Katia, Nancy, and the rest of the staff were polite, kind, and helpful, making us feel like personal friends. We also met the owner, Danielle, who made us feel welcome and invited us back. I’d love to return with the whole family for that relaxed atmosphere. Many thanks, 5 stars!

The Summer House Restaurant was one of the highlights of our stay. On a typical evening, there’s a small crowd singing around the piano late into the night, with a rare local charm that feels like an if-you-know-you-know spot. Sunday brunch was lovely too, especially the lobster benedict, and everything was carefully prepared and high quality. We stayed in Sloop, a cottage that was even better than I’d pictured: comfortable and well maintained, with a white pitched ceiling and antique art that gave it an authentic New England feel. The grounds were charming, with a green lawn, purple hydrangeas, and cottages beneath mature trees. I’d only known Nantucket from Elin Hilderbrand books, and the island lived up to and surpassed what I expected. That long weekend at The Summer House last July is still on my mind. The stay made Nantucket one of my favorite destinations, and I’m counting down until I can go back.

Waking up in the cottages to the sound of ocean waves was the perfect finishing touch. The place is unique, comfortable, and beautiful. My family finally had our reunion at the summer house this year, and even with all 20 of us, the restaurant service was impeccable. The piano bar and neighborhood regulars made for such a lively, fun scene. We had excellent pasta and fish, plus the best lobster roll we tried anywhere on the island. It’s the most magical place on the East coast!

The short, gorgeous walk to town, the playground, cliff walk, and beach made the location ideal. My two young children were enchanted by the fairy-tale cottages, and the pool was a huge hit. Our cottage was cozy, clean, and well equipped, with peaceful surroundings and beautiful nature all around. The staff were very friendly and attentive, especially the hostess. Don’t miss the spectacular sunrise just steps from the door. We can’t wait to come back next year and make more memories at this wonderful refuge!

We spent the afternoons at the Bistro by the pool and beach, where the bar was fun and the tables felt relaxing. Dinner in the beautiful main restaurant felt more elevated, and the food at both places was delicious and beautifully presented. There was nothing on the menus that seemed like a wrong choice, and the restaurant teams were top-notch and made sure our needs were met. Our cottages in beautiful Sconset were clean, quaint, and well maintained, with very comfortable beds. The setting is idyllic for a weekend, and we felt relaxed and welcome the whole time. I was completely blown away by our family stay at the Summer House and highly recommend it for a Nantucket vacation.
