Element by Marriott Nashville Vanderbilt West End

The free breakfast was a really nice surprise. Each morning there was a freshly cooked plate, plus cereal, a Chobani yogurt bar, eggs, juice, and individually wrapped muffins, turnovers, and breads. The location was great too. From valet to customer service and the breakfast crew, people were so welcoming. Even though you hand your car over to valet, you just let them know when you need it and they hustle to bring it around. Everyone was courteous, and we were very pleased with our stay.

There's a lot to like here, especially how spacious it is. The weight room has more options than most hotel gyms, and housekeeping was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I met the head housekeeper, and she was warm and great at solving problems. The noise, though, can be rough. You may hear people stomping above you or someone talking on the phone through the wall all night. The staff experience was mixed too. Some people are helpful and caring, while one person yelled at me when I simply asked where the coffee cups were. It felt like they were having a bad day, but it was still quite a response. I'd recommend the hotel, just be prepared for noise from nearby rooms.

Gregory made check-in easy and welcoming, and suggested what we might order at the hotel. We ended up getting pizza delivered, then went to the bar while we waited. Mrs. Vikki was the sweetest bartender, and we had such a good time. Her drinks were the best we've had: I loved the margarita, and my husband tried the old fashioned he was curious about and called it the best. The place was clean and welcoming, and this was the best hotel experience we've ever had. We'd absolutely recommend it and will be back.

The hotel itself wasn't the best experience, so I'll focus on the valet team from PMC parking. Lito and the others were the bright spot of our stay at the Element Vanderbilt West End. They were the first to greet us and the last to say goodbye, always personable and professional. Coming back felt like seeing familiar faces, and leaving was like saying goodbye to friends. I used to own a parking company, and I'd gladly have these gentlemen on my staff, with Lito leading the team.
