Hilton Nashville Green Hills

The whole crew did an excellent job through a really rough time. I forgot the names of two young women working in the restaurant, but they deserve a mention too. My room was excellent and very comfortable, and I highly recommend the hotel. I stayed at the Hilton Green Hills during the ice storm. Raven, Carmen, Sulia, George, David & Michelle (restaurant), Paris, Riley, Ghassan, and Gustavo gave me exceptional assistance.

We’d definitely stay again if we’re in the area. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile. The hotel looks new or recently renovated, and there’s plenty of room to relax on the rooftop lounge, which has a small bar and a pool. You can also have a drink at the lobby bar, watch the game, or catch up with friends. It’s across the street from the mall and close enough to walk to restaurants and other local places to eat.

We booked two nights online during a power outage and understand things were chaotic. My husband got in the check-in line at 2pm. Staff confirmed our reservation and told him to return at 4pm. By then the line was about 75 people long. He waited another 2 hours and 10 minutes before a manager finally said they had overbooked and there were no rooms for the rest of us in line. It was dark by then, and they didn’t offer internet to help us find another place. Cell service was poor. They mentioned six rooms in Cool Springs that they could help us get, but it was a half-hour drive in an ice storm, and we had no GPS because of the lack of service. My family found the whole thing traumatic. They should have told us at 2pm that they thought they’d overbooked, while we still had daylight to work out a solution, instead of leaving us there in the dark with crying children. Management put people at risk by waiting so long to admit they knew there was a problem. I would never recommend this hotel.

We come here every Thanksgiving because it’s clean, lush, and luxurious, and the location is perfect for things to do in Nashville. But the restaurant is closed from 9:30am until 11:30a, and it’s the only one on the property. A little sign says it’s closed, while guest after guest wanders in looking for brunch. They do offer brunch on Saturday, but not on the other six days, which is especially unaccommodating during a holiday week. I’m in the lobby writing this and can hear three families debating where to eat, including kids saying they’re starving, and three middle-aged women complaining to the front desk about the hours. The hotel is losing business over this strange setup. I can’t come back, especially with the brand new Crestmoor right across the street.
