Mint House At The Reserve

We were lucky to have a place to stay here during this year's Nashville ice storms. Our family had been without power for over a week, and this historic boutique hotel in the old Federal Reserve Bank Building became our refuge. It feels like more than a hotel, with full kitchens and washer-dryers in the rooms. Our kids loved it, and the helpful staff were great. Publix was open just two blocks away for groceries. We felt blessed to stay here.

We had a girls' weekend at the Nashville Reserve, and the room was just what we needed. It felt private, and having parking right there was nice. The location was easy to walk from to everything we wanted to see. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and they could help with every request we made. We'll be back!

Broadway was about a 10-15 minute walk through the quieter part of town, which was just right when we wanted to get away from the commotion there. The apartment at the Mint had a comfortable bed, a living room, and a nice amount of space. It also had a full kitchen, though we only used it for coffee and tea. I really enjoyed the stay and recommend it to anyone who wants to be near downtown and doesn't mind a bit of walking.

The extra $20 parking charge should have been made clearer. It isn't an unreasonable fee, but with it added, the total came to about the same as other places, even though we picked this as the cheapest hotel within walking distance of Marathon Music Works. We stayed one night for a concert, about a 16-minute walk away, and would come back, maybe for several days. The room was very clean and cute for what it is. These mini apartments are nice, but there isn't much room to move around, and the couch sits right against the foot of the bed, which might bother some people. For people trying to save money, the kitchen would be handy for simple meals, and it had the utensils and other things needed to cook. The dishwasher and washer-dryer also make a relaxing stay easy. Just know this is set up for self-service, with entry to the hotel and room handled on your own, so it's not the place if you want to interact with staff.
