While I waited for my ride, the owner kept ordering me off the property. When I spoke with someone I knew, he yelled at her that I couldn't go into her room, even though she was a paying guest and just wanted a friend to stop by. He also told another tenant to stay in her room, and when she asked what she was supposed to do besides stare at the same four walls and TV, he said she had to be out the next day. He walks around shouting at customers like he's their father. I'd spend my money at a better motel. If you're a woman and have to stay here, lock everything, including the chain. An employee came into my room without permission, and the owner seemed to care more about the money than my safety. The employee first walked in without announcing himself. I told him I wasn't dressed and to leave, but he asked if he could see me. A few minutes later he came back uninvited, asked if I was still naked, and again asked to see me. I told him to leave or I'd call the police. Then, while I was gathering my things, the owner came in yelling that I had to leave so he could clean the room for the people waiting. If you've been to the Fernwood, you know there isn't a line of people waiting for a room. They do "short stays." If I could give zero stars, I would.

The room smelled so strongly of cigarettes that I lit a scented candle to cope. There was barely enough space for two people to be comfortable, and the bathroom was tiny. The fridge was filthy on the outside, and the water smelled like sulfur. There was no microwave in the room, despite what the listing said. Management was nice, but this was still one of the worst places I've stayed. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a decent motel.

There are plenty of stores nearby, but I wouldn't spend money staying here. The place was dirty, with bed bugs, mice, and roaches, and something seemed wrong with the water and pipes. The manager was a really strange guy. Don't drink the sink water, it smells awful.

I was overcharged for a nasty, run-down place where the roaches and bed bugs were there, and everything seemed broken. It wasn't worth the price. I'd rather sleep in my car. The managers are racist and look down on people who are less fortunate. Avoid it.

I felt gross after showering because the water smelled like sewer water. The carpet could be pulled up from the floor, and bugs were all over the dirty outside of the door. The guests living there seemed to be drunks and drug users. The couple running the place were very rude and acted like they managed a three-star hotel. I was charged too much for such a nasty room. Staying there was a nightmare. Don't go.
