Chez Palmier B and B was a fun, quirky, comfortable, local-feeling find. It’s more like staying at your cool cousin’s home than at a traditional bed and breakfast. The beds are super comfy, breakfast is delicious, and host Betsy is warm and gracious.

The Russia suite had such nice attention to detail, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Betsy is a warm, inviting host, and the place really feels like home. I’ve stayed at several bed and breakfasts on my trips to New Orleans, and this was my favorite experience. I picked it for how close it was to my friend’s wedding venue, and could easily walk to the French Quarter too. I can’t recommend her enough, and I’ll definitely tell friends and family to stay here.

I really enjoyed staying here with my family last May. We could walk down for breakfast each morning and Mabel the Basset Hound would greet us, which I especially loved. Betsy was a wonderful host and kindly let us leave our luggage for a couple of hours after checkout on our last day. That meant we could enjoy NOLA once more before heading to the airport instead of storing our bags elsewhere. The location was just right, close to the French Quarter and Frenchman St. where the action is, but far enough away for a peaceful night’s sleep. I’d definitely stay at Chez Palmier next time I’m in NOLA.

Staying in the Marigny was a delight. It felt more authentically New Orleans than the Canal Street or French Quarter area, and everything was close by. We found street parking for our car each night, could walk around easily, and felt safe. The room was spacious and comfortable, like staying at a friend’s place. Betsy is kind and personable, and Mabel the basset hound is adorable. No complaints, I’d definitely recommend Chez Palmiers!

This beautiful creole cottage has so much charm and character. The decor feels carefully thought through, with attention to detail everywhere. Betsy is incredibly kind and personable, and her canine co-host Mabel is so sweet and gentle. It’s a perfect location for me, and a hidden gem in this amazing city.
