Comfort Inn & Suites LaGuardia Airport

I arrived in New York on Thursday evening with no bites, rash, or skin irritation. After checking in, I woke around 4 a.m. extremely itchy and found three separate bites on my body. It made me worry there could be bed bugs in the room. I went straight to the front desk. The overnight employee was polite and sympathetic, but could only offer a bottle of water. At 8 the next morning, I told the supervisor. She seemed apathetic, said maintenance and a manager would inspect the room, and promised to call me. I never heard back. When I checked again on Sunday morning, she shrugged and said they “didn’t find anything.” There was no apology or explanation, and no effort to address my concerns. Unexplained bites after sleeping in a hotel bed are upsetting enough. Being ignored and getting no follow-up made it worse. A hotel should take health and cleanliness concerns seriously and respond promptly. This experience was extremely disappointing, and the customer service was unacceptable.

I stayed here for a week and was honestly impressed. The staff were very friendly, housekeeping was great, and the rooms were decent with clean towels. The lobby and breakfast area were clean too. You can hear people in the halls and neighboring rooms, especially doors slamming as people come and go, and that gets annoying. Still, I had a pleasant stay.

I spend a lot of time in hotels for work all over the country, and Ignacio Gomez and his crew outdid many places I’ve stayed. We stopped here during a winter snowstorm layover, and they were more accommodating than I could’ve asked for. The location, value, and hospitality are all 10/10. I’d recommend it 100% if you’re in the area.

We needed a room at the last minute, and Vin at the front desk made a stressful situation much easier. He was patient and welcoming with my family, and his kindness and upbeat attitude meant a lot. We’re very grateful for his help. Thank you, Vin.
