The location was great, and we'd definitely stay again. The rooms were tight, but that's typical in NYC, and it worked for our short visit. We had lots of questions and asked for an early check-in, which I know was a pain. The front desk staff stayed kind and accommodating, stored our several bags without seeming annoyed, and let us go walk around. I can't say enough good things about them.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly, but there wasn't much to enjoy beyond that. It felt furnished like a dorm, and the bed was so soft it had no support. I had booked a king, but they hadn't held one for me and gave me two full beds instead. At 6'5", my feet stuck out past the bed. The restaurant was poor and overpriced, and the bar was a letdown. I was here for work and picked the cheapest option, which now makes sense. I wouldn't come back if I had a choice. At least the room gave me a reason to spend as little time in it as possible.

Getting around from here is easy: Madison Square Garden and the Empire State Building are both within reach, and the Manhattan location is my favorite. Whenever I stay, the service is great, and the rooms and sheets are clean. The staff are kind and the experience is a good one. The elevator setup is the one drawback. There are only two for the whole building, so getting to or from your room can take a while. Still, if you need a good place to stay, I'd definitely recommend coming here.

The staff were friendly and really helpful, and the room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and beautiful. It was also fairly spacious for NYC, with a central spot just a couple of blocks from Penn Station. The old elevators are the one problem. One seems to break down constantly, so sometimes you're left waiting ages. Even with that, I thought the stay was worth it.

The hot water problem made it hard for me to recommend this place. I stayed three nights in May 2026 on the 25th floor, and the shower kept losing hot water pressure until it was barely a trickle. I left the lever fully on hot and didn't touch it, but the temperature kept swinging while the cold water pressure stayed strong. The sink faucet did the same thing, so it seemed like it might be a building-wide system issue. I reported it at the front desk right away and texted a manager later. Both said they'd deal with it, but nothing changed. The hotel itself was about what I'd expect at around $300 a night in this part of NYC. I attached two videos of the shower issue. There were a few other problems too: one of two elevators was out one night and caused a long line; the front desk said lobby coffee was complimentary, but it never appeared and staff tried to charge around $5; and there was a space for a fridge in the room, but no fridge.
