The hotel was pretty and fun back in its day, but that day is over. I stayed a long time ago, before things got weird and it closed up. The rooms are tiny. As a tall, muscular person I could barely move around the bed. Staff were generally snooty and unfriendly, apart from housekeeping.

The hotel has a lovely library-themed bar, with a very polite, knowledgeable bartender. There's also an arcade-like area with a pool table and basketball hoops for kids. The staff are extremely friendly and the lobby is gorgeous. My room could use some work: it was dim, the air conditioner was quite loud, and the sink filled up fast because it drained so slowly.

A nice little spot to sleep while visiting the city. My room was fine, and they used the small space well. I'm sure they have bigger rooms. The staff have been friendly and courteous, and the hotel is decorated really well, with a nice modern touch in an older building. The clear shower window means there's no privacy, which isn't my thing if sharing a room with family or friends, though some people might like it. I'd stay again, depending on whether I was alone.

The one-bedroom suites are spacious, apartment-style, and fun, though eccentric and sparse. For a few nights, the price is brilliant for having your own place, one that can feel like you've JUST moved in. We still love this place despite its faults: the front desk staff and doormen are lovely, the lobby is lovely, and prices are generally reasonable. But amenities are pretty lacking, and the manager, Randolph, promised compensation for a major disturbance in our room that we never got. Larger rooms don't have enough light, and the hot water doesn't always work. TV reception comes and goes, and cleaning staff are really rude and relentless even before normal checkout. But I promise,

The room was small, but fine when all I needed was a bed between tourist activities. The workers, though, were extremely rude. One refused to serve my girlfriend and me, saying his station was closed, then helped the people behind us. We were charged for two nights when we'd booked just one. At most other hotels that's an easy fix, but here they said we couldn't get our paperwork back until they refunded us and told us to come back later. When we returned, they'd lost the paperwork and claimed they'd refunded us. They were wrong. It's been two days since we were there, and we still haven't gotten the money back. They won't answer the phone. The staff aren't worth the stay. I don't recommend it.
