Row NYC Hotel

Our Deluxe City View room had two double beds for two adults and two teenage children, and there was enough space for our two large suitcases. It felt comfortable for New York, and was roomier than the New Yorker, where we stayed a few years ago and had to walk around our luggage. The room was quiet, with a nice view and good TV quality. I hardly heard anyone in the hallway and never heard anyone above us. Staff were very nice, and housekeeping was friendly and helpful. The one thing I noticed was the room wasn't vacuumed every day. I left a nice note asking, and they did it. We often brought pizza back and couldn't avoid a few crumbs. The location is great for theaters and being right in the middle of things. This wasn't our first choice, but our original hotel closed and we needed another option. Still a good deal for the quality and price.

The stay was smooth, and the room worked well for a long weekend. Our Superior room was basic and small, but comfortable, with a nice bed and some storage. The bathroom was tiny but had what we needed. It was clean, though a few spots could use a deep clean and it didn't look new. Staff were friendly, check-in was quick, and they gave us a larger bed so we'd have more sleeping space. The elevators were fine, with only a few minutes of waiting, despite what some reviews say. The lobby is open and attractive. Times Square is right around the corner, but the hotel is far enough from the crowd that it isn't too wild outside, even though it's still busy. If you want somewhere near Times Square and Hell's Kitchen, I'd stay here. I personally wouldn't choose the Times Square area again because I don't like tourist crowds and fanfare.

The location was the only good part. The rooms were extremely small and the furniture worn, and the staff were unfriendly, short-tempered, and seemed to ignore you until you spoke up. There was a $67 resort fee, but I couldn't see what it covered since there wasn't even a mini fridge or microwave. The shower curtain was too short, so the bathroom flooded whenever we showered. I called about it and they brought two extra towels. Not much of a solution. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

ROW NYC is right in the heart of Times Square, a great base for exploring the city. The sleek rooms are well designed and have stunning Manhattan skyline views, while the modern style still feels comfortable. The trendy bar and fitness center add to the experience. What really stood out was the attentive, friendly staff who went above and beyond to make the stay memorable. A fantastic choice for a New York visit, whether for business or leisure.
