SoBe canceled my reservation by text on the day I arrived in Boston. I had to panic-book a hotel room for four people to share instead of the nice apartment I’d reserved for my Harvard graduation. It’s been more than two months, and I still haven’t received my refund. I’ve called without getting an answer, and I’ve also struggled to get the money back through booking.com, since they handled the booking. This feels like some kind of scam. The same thing happened to my husband after he booked a property with them in NYC and canceled within the refund window. It took nine months for him to get his money back. I don’t recommend this place. How can this even be legal? It feels like pure robbery.
