I reserved a non-smoking room, but the one I was given clearly smelled of smoke. A little “no smoking please” sign didn’t change that. The smell was so strong it made me nauseous. The woman at the front desk was helpful and moved me to a different room. Then, at 4:15 am, I got up to use the bathroom and saw a bed bug crawling by the door. Now I don’t know what to do or where to go.

The staff were amazing, even when the guy in room 147 drank two bottles of wine and passed out on the sidewalk in front of the building and our 12-year-olds. They handled the complaints gracefully and called the police. The room still felt disgusting despite a Walmart run for bleach cleaner, Lysol, and fresh bedding, pillows, and towels. I don’t know how anyone could call it clean. We stayed because of a lacrosse tournament and couldn’t find another room within 10 miles for under $600 a night. I saw no signs of bed bugs in the mattress corners, but was glad to have Lysol and Clorox cleaner with bleach.

Everyone we dealt with at Ramada by Wyndham was kind and respectful, and made us feel at ease. Staff across all shifts welcomed my family and offered useful advice. They even went out of their way to help when we needed it. We had a great stay and would definitely come back because of the service.

The room was clean and updated, and for the price it felt like a steal. The outside looks dated, so don’t let that put you off. Staff were sweet, professional, and helpful, and they sorted out the issue I had with the microwave. I didn’t have any itching during my stay, despite what I’d seen in other reviews. The one downside was the cigarette smell in the halls and lobby. I’m sure it’ll get addressed when the renovations reach those areas.

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the man behind the bar who suggested the first dinner I tried, and the young woman with all the fancy earrings in the breakfast area. She showed me how to use the waffle maker and answered my many questions while my husband, who usually handles our stays, was away. Our room was warm and cozy when we arrived, with the standard amenities. Breakfast was complimentary, changed each day, and included delicious make-your-own waffles. The restaurant meals were phenomenal and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back. I hope we get the same room, because those beds were perfect for us. Thank you, Ramada.
