If the pool and jacuzzi are the main things you’re comparing at this airport hotel, here’s what I found. The jacuzzi is small but properly warm. Sharing it might put you off because there isn’t much room, though I never saw anyone else using the pool or jacuzzi while I was there. The pool is somewhat warm, not quite comfortable to jump right into, but not too cold either. I’m sensitive to cold water. The stone bottom looks browned with age, though it seemed clean. There’s no steam room or sauna, just the pool and small jacuzzi. The room was perfectly fine and very clean. The shower head looked a little old, but the water was hot and everything worked. I was disappointed that breakfast used paper plates, plastic cups, and plastic utensils. It’s wasteful. The hotel could give guests a better experience and be more responsible to the community and environment by using real dishes and silverware, even if that meant hiring a dishwasher and creating a paid job. The shuttle came less often than shuttles from other hotels. I saw those pass twice or more before this one picked me up, though I may have arrived at an unlucky time. The driver was very kind. Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites is right next door, across the parking lot. If this hotel’s shuttle is taking forever and the Fairfield one is mostly empty, you could try that shuttle and walk across. The hotels could consider working together for more frequent airport service. It’s one of the cheaper options near Newark airport, and I thought it was good for the price.

I arranged a one-night stay here for a group, and everything from start to finish went well. The group liked the breakfast, and the rooms were clean. Oscar was fantastic to work with while setting things up. He was responsive after hours during a snowstorm, understanding, and attentive to detail. I’d happily book another group stay here.

The rooms are old, outdated, smelly, and uncomfortable, with dirty bathrooms. The airport shuttle was a beat-up van that smelled of exhaust inside and didn’t seem street legal. The driver went way too fast on wet, snowy roads, like he thought he was a F1 driver. Someone had apparently grilled plastic on the room iron, and I found out the hard way when it ruined my white dress shirt. I’ve stayed here a few times and it’s been the same disappointment each time. I’ve learned my lesson and will stay at the Courtyard or Airport Marriott from now on.

The room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for three over-packers before our trip to Las Vegas. Gloria and the whole front desk team were fantastic, even with the place being a zoo. The airport shuttle was a nice bonus, and the driver was great. I’d definitely stay here again when flying out of EWR.

Our first stay at Spring. Hill suites in Newark went really well. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the thermostat worked, and they offered bottled water. Breakfast was good, even with the dining area very busy. The staff kept up with everything and stayed smiling. Everyone was sweet, polite, and kind, and we had no issues. Sometimes a smile is enough to lift a three-star stay to five, but the staff got everything right here, so the five stars are earned.
