The Inns On Bellevue

The location is lovely, right on Bellevue Avenue and close enough to walk to the waterfront. There’s a free trolley stop on the corner, a pastry shop by the lobby, and breakfast is included at Bellevue Manor up the street. Kim at the desk was especially helpful and accommodating. The house has a lot of charm, but the room was so small it was hard for two people to move around or relax, and there was nowhere to put our things. The bed creaked whenever we shifted, outlets were scarce, and the Wi-Fi didn’t reach the third floor. We could hear the upstairs guests, and a big gap around our door let in light and noise. The bathroom has been updated, though its switch is outside, which is awkward at night if someone else is asleep. Water pressure was low, the lobby is tiny, and there’s no elevator. Some updates would make this old house much more comfortable.

We were moved here after the B&B we’d originally booked apparently overbooked, and we’re glad they sent us to the inn on Bellevue. Parking was easy and available, so we left the car and explored the very walkable area on foot. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and our room had plenty of space for a queen bed and a daybed. We’ll definitely come back.

We felt safe in this charming part of Newport, and the location was great. The room was clean, the service was great, and we’d absolutely stay again.

We hardly needed the car because the location puts everything within walking distance. The service was very good, and everyone was accommodating. The rooms feel dated, although the bathroom has been renovated. Thin walls and doors meant we could hear the neighboring room and hallway clearly. It did the job for our stay.
