AAshram Hotel by Niagara River

We were traveling with our kids, which made the dirty looking sheets and bedding especially upsetting. They looked as if they hadn't been properly changed or cleaned and might have been reused from previous guests. I wouldn't stay here again. The rooms were unclean, management was rude, and the extra charge felt hidden. We only warmed our baby's food in the dining area and served it in our room, yet they charged us an extra $72. When I asked why, the owner's husband (Kim’s husband) was extremely rude. They also took the extra money straight from my credit card without telling me first.

The rooms were alright. At night, I found the Indian gentleman at reception quite rude, though the Jamaican gentleman who checked me out in the morning was lovely. The free breakfast was pretty good, with Actimel yogurt and various other things. For a cheap place, it was one of the better breakfasts I've had on my trip around North America.

Nice rooms and gracious owners. The Aashram Hotel is the cleanest one in a large radius, in a quiet spot with easy access to the i-190, whether you're heading north or south. We keep

You get what you pay for. The cleaning wasn't very good: the big room mirror was really dirty, as were the shower corners and even the phone. One drawer wouldn't close. Noise from people walking in the corridors carried into the room, even with the doors shut, and it was hard to fall asleep with sounds coming from the other rooms.
