We were put on the top floor despite my calling the motel a week ahead to request a ground-floor room. There isn't an elevator. The desk agent first acted as if there was nothing downstairs, but eventually found us a room there. We booked through Expedia. The TV also took several tries and a string of seemingly random commands to turn on. Service was mediocre, and we won't be back. The room was underwhelming and not particularly clean. The mirror was covered in smudges, chunks of what looked like plaster were on the floor underneath it, the toilet was so old and scoured that its paint had come off, and the curtains had white blotches of unknown stuff. The smell when we walked in was horrible. My husband fetched Febreze from the car, and even that barely helped. I didn't dare try the shower. Breakfast was okay, but there wasn't much variety and the eggs weren't great. The waffle was really good, though. Definitely not a good experience, and I don't recommend it.

Hima was so sweet when my boyfriend and I talked with her during our one-night stay on our walk across the country. We enjoyed it a lot. Clean room, nice breakfast, great staff. Thank you!

The heat worked, and breakfast was hot enough, though there wasn't much variety. The bed wasn't comfortable and lots of things didn't work. Fine for a night's sleep, but not much beyond that.

We only needed the room for sleep for one night, and it wasn't too bad. The first room had no working lights, but they moved us next door quickly. In the second room, the toilet looked like its bowl had been painted or repaired, the vinyl floor felt a bit sticky, and the bed was very firm. I didn't feel comfortable trying the shower. It's definitely an older hotel that needs a lot of work.

The room was very clean and nicely cool, even though it was near mid-August. I'm on a lower budget, so what more could you ask for? I booked online at one price, brought it to the gentleman's attention, and he honored it. Thanks for reading.
