Hyatt Lodge Oak Brook Chicago

Our balcony had a lovely view, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We’d booked just one night for an event at Brookfield Zoo, and I’m so glad we chose this beautiful hotel and property. We enjoyed it enough to book another stay for our anniversary in October. That visit will be longer, so hopefully we can explore more of the grounds. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

The grounds are wonderful to explore, and the property has a distinctive atmosphere that feels like staying at a grand resort from another time. It’s scenic, well managed, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are outstanding, and the beds are so comfortable they make staying at the Lodge well worth it. Brookfield Zoo and Galloping Ghost arcade are about a 17-minute drive away. A very cool place to stay.

The staff were excellent, friendly, and quick to address problems. The hotel is fairly affordable for its amenities and quite nice, though some things don’t work properly: the in-room phone, hair dryer, and shower temperature. It looks as if it used to be grand, but is a little worn down. The pool is a good size under a striking arched glass dome. The echo makes it loud, especially with lots of families and kids around. The locker room’s sauna and steam room were pretty nice. We didn’t use the spa or fitness center, but both are available. The lobby was quiet and pleasant, so we brought books and read by the big windows. Valet was very helpful, and we appreciated being able to get the car in and out easily since the parking lot is down the hill across the street. The hotel food is pricey for what you get, so we only ate there once. There are plenty of restaurants and a mall nearby. We especially liked Tous Les Jours, about a 10-minute drive away, and the fun rotary sushi spot in the same plaza.

We’ve stayed at Hyatt Lodge several times and are already looking forward to coming back. Every visit has been amazing. The service is consistently excellent, from the front desk and housekeeping to maintenance, bartenders, and breakfast attendants. Everyone is welcoming, professional, and attentive. The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the pool and jacuzzis are fantastic. The spa is incredible, and the gym is one of the best I’ve seen at a hotel, with a great cardio section. It’s also very kid-friendly. Even with lots of families and children around, things are well managed and enjoyable. I work for Hyatt at another property and enjoy traveling within the brand, so I appreciate when a hotel gets the Hyatt standard of hospitality right. Hyatt Lodge absolutely delivers. It’s easily one of the best Hyatt properties I’ve visited. 🫶🏾
