Bay Bridge Inn

The room was clean and nice. I did notice a few things, though: something that may have been a spider crawled onto my quilt, and the heater gave off a strange smell. The air conditioner didn’t smell, only the heat did. I also couldn’t find the Wi-Fi password in the room, and nobody offered it, so ask the front desk if you need it.

Check-in and check-out were easy, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. It’s an easy walk to the Amtrak station, with a great bar just around the corner. The neighborhood felt a little sketchy, though. My room was clean, smoke-free, and basic, with no frills. The shower pressure was a bit low, but that was about the only downside. I was given a double instead of a twin, but didn’t bother changing rooms since I was only there for a few hours after staying at the bar longer than planned.

I keep choosing this place when I travel for work around the San Francisco Bay Area. The rooms don’t have much in them, but they’re clean, and the staff put in real effort to keep things safe and quiet.

We found this place at the last minute for a weekend trip from LA to the Bay Area, and had a really good stay. There was plenty of room for two adults, with a comfortable bed, shelves, dressers, TV, and decor that were all nicely arranged. Having a microwave and refrigerator in the room was handy. The bathroom seemed renovated, and I enjoyed the new shower. Everything was very clean, and they replaced our towels for the second night even though we didn’t need them changed. Our second-floor room felt private, though it got a little street noise since it was closest to the road. Parking was plentiful, included, and felt safe. Some nearby blocks aren’t the best, so keep that in mind, especially if you’re walking at night. For driving to other places of interest, the location was excellent, with most about 10-15 minutes away. Check-in was clear and efficient, and the staff were good. The inn didn’t seem very busy, perhaps because it was low season, and the other guests were cordial. I’d recommend it.
