The room was dirty, with hair in the bed and bathroom and sticky carpet. I’m usually not fussy about motels and only needed a place to sleep, but this was a rough stay and I won’t return. The sheets of the accessibility promise were worse. I called ahead to ask for a wheelchair accessible room and was told I’d need to pay more for a ground-floor king because that was the only option. I explained why that didn’t meet ADA requirements, but the person didn’t understand and I didn’t have the energy to argue. I asked again whether paying the upgrade would get me an accessible ground-floor room, and they said yes, so I booked it. On arrival, I was told there was a $100 cash deposit, which seemed odd, and that the room itself could only be paid for by credit card. I had to go around the block to find an ATM. Then the room had a two-inch lip at the entrance, despite being on the ground floor, and there wasn’t enough space inside to use my wheelchair. I paid extra for a room where I couldn’t use my chair. The place was completely inaccessible, and the way they handled it was unprofessional. Don’t stay here if you use a wheelchair.

They charged me $30 for my service dog 🐕🦺. I told them that was illegal and asked if they’d charge someone for a wheelchair too. The service was poor, and the prices were higher than advertised. Don’t go.

We cancelled and booked somewhere else as soon as we could. The neighborhood made us feel unsafe, and the woman at the desk was rude, rolling her eyes and treating us without respect. We’d asked several days before our flight to check in early since we were landing earlier in the day, but when we arrived she said no room would be ready until 1:30pm, leaving us a four-and-a-half-hour wait. When we asked if they could hold our luggage, she took us to an empty room and told us to leave our bags in a corner. We’d booked with friends and hadn’t been told anywhere on the website or during booking that this was a motel rather than a hotel. Nobody deserves to be spoken to that way. I’d give it 0/5 if I could.

The location isn’t great, but that does make the value for money pretty high, about 4/5. The room itself was honestly quite nice, and the sheets were completely clean. Service was okay. I was a little worried before arriving, so it turned out somewhat better than I expected.
