Delux Inn

I came to the deluxe inn expecting to spend one night, but the comfortable living space exceeded my expectations and I stayed for two weeks. I had no issues during that time. Food and gas were so close that getting what I needed was easy. The man at the front desk was helpful and friendly, and the other people staying there were friendly too. I cracked a few jokes with a couple of them. Couldn't ask for more. I know where I'll stay if I'm in Odessa again. Appreciate it.

Rooms had no odd smell, the location was good, and the staff were humble.

The door had no seal, so light, wind, and noise came through the gaps. The heater didn't work, and there were stains on the walls, floor, sheets, and linens. I also found a blunt, beer bottle caps, and cereal on the floor, and the room reeked of cigarettes and marijuana. It looked like they'd changed the sheets and replaced the toiletries, then skipped the rest of the cleaning. For all I know, the sheets hadn't even been changed recently. We would have gone to another place if we'd already not paid. We paid $83 for a stay starting at 5 AM, and had to be out by 11 AM the next day. I would've been better off sleeping in my car. The price wasn't worth the fear of getting stabbed or bitten, or being affected by whatever was left in the room. Do not stay here.

The room was decent, but it needed a lot of repairs. The bathroom door handle was falling apart, and the room's frame was coming loose. The beds were hard, and the covers smelled old and dusty. There was no coffee maker or cups in the room, and they didn't provide shampoo. The lot was very small. The hotel advertised a free continental breakfast, but when we went down, the worker said they weren't serving breakfast this year and told us to go to the gas station next door. It's outrageous to advertise something you don't provide. For what we paid, breakfast should have been included, and if we'd known, we'd have booked somewhere else.
