The views are what make this place special. From the room windows, the outdoor dining deck, or the comfortable lawn chairs, you can take in a sweeping vista of the North Atlantic coast, beach, and open ocean. The rooms were spotless and spacious, and the staff were accommodating. Breakfast was included and delicious.

Ogunquit is such a charming, friendly town, with great food and shopping. We felt very safe walking everywhere, and I really don't want to leave. Places we enjoyed included Rose Cove, Brickyard Hollow Brewing, Big Daddy’s Ice Cream, Village Food Market, especially the dessert section, and Footbridge Lobster. This was our first trip to Maine, and honestly, if we'd only stayed here, I'd be content. The atmosphere is beautiful, relaxed, and super clean. Our huge room has a gorgeous sunrise view, and the bed is so comfortable after a long trip. The room is dated, but it's the kind I love, with that Kellermans vibe. The outside view and sitting area are breathtaking, the staff are as sweet as can be, and breakfast is fresh and delicious. The price is great too.

I won't stay here again. The clean, spacious room had two bedrooms, a queen bed, two twin beds, a kitchen, and a living room, but the bedrooms felt tight and the bathroom was small. There was no counter space for cosmetics, so some shelves would help. The walls could use beach photos or other decor, and the garbage disposal wasn't working right until someone came to look at it. I liked the location, the view of the sunrise from the lawn, and the coffee, but the muffins were tiny and not good. It was just a basic continental breakfast. When I booked, they gave me one price. On the day we were due to arrive, my sister called to check the balance and was told a different price, because, they said, the original quote was for two people. We always ask for a room for three adults when booking, and had told them there were three of us, but the desk manager was rude and wouldn't budge, so we had to pay extra. Our room was above the garage where staff keep equipment such as a leaf blower. Early one morning I could hear a man talking and his phone playing loudly in the garage below. One day the room smelled like gas, so I went to the desk. We opened all the windows, even though it was quite cool outside, and left the room. A staff member moved the leaf blower out of the garage and said it had a gas leak. He left the garage door open to air it out, and when we returned the smell was finally gone. It was crazy to have lawn equipment filled with gas in the garage. My brother wanted to stay overnight, but he had to bring his motorcycle instead of his car to find a parking spot on the property. The hotel only had space for one car, even though we had driven separately to Maine at different times. Not everyone can travel in one car. I had to park at another hotel that let me leave my car for three days. The police department said there was no overnight parking in Ogunquit, and paying elsewhere was insanely expensive. That's poor service for guests. We go to Maine every year and don't usually have this trouble at hotels. The other staff tried their best to help, but the manager needs to be friendlier and more helpful, and the hotel needs to quote the right price for the number of guests, not just two.

We made a last-minute reservation, with three of us staying. The room was clean and comfortable, and the grounds were well kept. Breakfast was just right, with bagels and fresh fruit. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was so convenient to walk to the beach and shops. We'll be back, and I've already recommended it to friends. Thank you, Terrace by the Sea!

A lovely place, and we'll definitely return. The location is amazing, just steps from the beach, Main Street, shops, and places to eat. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and even though the rooms are a little dated, they were immaculate. The grounds were clean too. There's strong coffee in the lobby any time of day, thank goodness. Out back, you can sit in chairs on the lawn overlooking the ocean with coffee, wine, or snacks.
