Hampton Inn Oklahoma City-Northwest

We felt really welcome here, from the great breakfast Sara Brennon? prepared to the friendly front desk staff. There was even a bathroom sign saying to ask the desk if you’d forgotten things like a toothbrush or shaving cream, and they gave us what we needed when we asked. This is the Hampton Inn we stayed at last weekend, and if we come back to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, we’ll stay here again. Thanks to everyone, and God bless you all. ❤️🙏

We got a good deal through super.com, a third-party booking site I hadn’t used before: two nights for $155. The stay was adequate for what we needed. Check-in was easy and the front desk was pleasant. Our accessible room could use updates. The blackout shade was stuck, but maintenance came quickly, lowered it, and offered to replace it, which we declined. The toilet ran most of the first night; staff replaced the flusher handle the next day and fixed it. Breakfast was limited, probably because occupancy was low while the elevator was out of service.

The bed and pillows were genuinely comfortable, and there was plenty of hot water. The rest of the room was a letdown: worn furniture, a small TV, an uncomfortable desk chair, peeling wallpaper, popcorn ceilings, and a lamp that didn’t work. The bathroom counter was dirty too. There was a dirty diaper on the front walk when I arrived, and it was still there when I left the next morning. The elevator also wasn’t working, and its worn signs made it look like it had been out for a while. This didn’t feel up to Hilton’s usual standards.

The room’s heating and AC never held a comfortable temperature, so we kept adjusting them up and down. There was also a lot of maintenance left undone around the property. I booked through the app, but nobody told us before the stay that the elevator was out. Judging by Google reviews, it seems to have been broken for a long time. They should disclose that, or call guests before the cancellation deadline so people have a chance to switch hotels. This was a subpar Hilton property, and I wouldn’t stay here again or want my family choosing it in the area.
