The shampoo and conditioner left our hair hard and tangled, which was the one real downside. Otherwise, the restroom and room were clean, and the front desk staff were very helpful. Miranda gave us excellent service. We’ll definitely come back.

The manager brushed off our concerns, saying he’d never heard complaints and hadn’t seen mold in the rooms. They didn’t seem to take any of it seriously. There was a strong smoke smell throughout the rooms, stained, dirty furniture, blood stains on the comforter, and mold in the rooms. Some spots appeared to have been painted over. We also saw mold in the ice machines. These conditions raise serious cleanliness and health concerns. If I could give zero stars, I would. This hotel needs to be shut down.

We only wanted our little guy to be safe. We trusted La Quinta to be fair and honest, and that didn’t happen. The manager, Bill, hung up on us. He’s responsible for four properties, is rarely around, and denies everything when he is. We’ll add photos of the broken crib. We were in town so my father could meet his 10 month old grandson. At check-in we asked for a crib, and they gave us an old-looking one that wasn’t assembled. While putting it together, I found missing screws, so it wouldn’t close properly and could open during the night while we slept. That was a huge danger for a baby. The front desk said there were no other cribs and that requests for one were rare. They couldn’t find sheets either, and left us waiting over an hour to hear whether any were available. We spent the night worried about our baby and barely slept. The hotel had advertised cribs, plus a washer and dryer, but those machines were out of service. We’d booked two nights, but after that first night we moved to the Residence Inn next door in the same parking lot. It was much better, as Marriotts always are. Before checking out early the next morning, we talked to the front desk. They even encouraged us to speak with the manager about compensation for the disastrous night, or at least canceling the second night. The manager was away all weekend, so we couldn’t reach him then. Eventually, when we did speak, he denied anything was broken or that we’d had problems, even though he hadn’t been there that weekend.

The room was roomy, clean, and smelled good. It’s right off the highway, and that’s about all you could ask for.
