Baymont by Wyndham Omaha SW

The counter clerk said my room number out loud. There’s no elevator. All the rooms are marked no smoking, but because of availability I got a smoking room. I asked for a non-smoking one and was told no. The TV remote had no batteries, and I had to replace them twice. I sprayed Ozium and opened the windows, which helped with some of the smell. There’s a soft spot in the bathroom floor that seems like it could give way soon, and the ceiling is separating from the walls. The door latch was sheared off and broken. Breakfast runs for three hours, from 6 to 9 am. You can enter only through the main door, though you can leave through any of the others.

Nothing was a disaster, and my complaints aren’t because this is a low-cost hotel. These are basic things that should have been handled. The three-bed room we reserved wasn’t available, and none of the pre-registration paperwork uploaded. The lobby smelled of cigarette smoke. The hair dryer and shower made strange noises, and the towels weren’t folded professionally, so I could only hope they were fresh. There was no water available anywhere, bottled or otherwise, just tap. Y’all can do better.

At least the freeway is easy to reach. Otherwise, I’d never stay here again. My company booked the room, and although the hotel says it’s smoke free, the lobby reeks of cigarettes. It claims to provide breakfast, but the hard-boiled eggs sit in an ice bath where everyone puts their hands. There’s no closet in the rooms, and sleeping in my car would have been more comfortable. Wyndham should be embarrassed to have its name on this place.

The guy who helped us was really nice, with great vibes. The rooms are affordable, the beds are comfy, and the showers are nice. Our room was clean and smelled good. I love that you use Dove products. Thanks for a good stay!
