Courtyard Marriott Aksarben Village

I won’t book this Courtyard again. I’m putting this here as a reminder, and I’d rather make my complaints public than reach out again. I already tried. The beds were horrible, and I don’t know what the sheets and comforters are washed with. No matter how low I turned the AC, I sweated all night. Maybe they use the cheapest polyester sheets. The cooks were a joke. I watched a customer wait 20 minutes for a salad, then get so mad he went into the kitchen to ask what was taking so long. After hearing him, I didn’t even want to order anything. The day before, one of the cooks told me they don’t make coffee in the afternoons. I had money and was willing to pay while they had it behind the counter, so turning down a sale seemed dumb. Coffee is a big deal here, especially since there’s no complimentary coffee in the mornings. When I asked the front desk about getting some, I was told, “Well, the resident inn has coffee. You can just go over there.” What kind of answer is that? This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had since I had to stay in roach motels in west Texas. Hope this finds you well, I guess.

The rooms were clean and nice, and the area worked perfectly for us. We liked being able to walk just a few steps to live music and late-night food. It was more walkable than downtown.

We stayed with a hockey team and management treated us like crap from the moment we checked in. They’re intolerant of everything, and you can’t hang out in the common areas. This place isn’t kid-friendly, and you can’t stay here if you have children or like having fun. Don’t agree to host a hockey team if you can’t handle it. Management is super crabby and basically intolerable.

I’d never stay here again. They treat paying guests terribly. Management is miserable and lies about guests. If you have kids, stay away.
