Cambria Hotel Omaha Downtown

We only stayed one night with our infant, and the late-night pizza from the bar was delicious. The lobby is lovely with lots of seating, and coffee is complimentary. There's no refill station for water bottles, and the tap water tasted bad; canned water was over $4, so bring your own. The pool and fitness center looked nice, though we didn't use them. Our room was just okay and not fully clean. The bathroom sink took ten minutes to drain, hair was on the shower walls, and the glass and shower floor were very dirty. The bathroom floors need a deep clean too. The remote and side table were sticky and had hair on them. We probably won't return because of the room's cleanliness. Parking is in a lot right behind the hotel, so charging for it seemed odd; I think it should be free.

The decor was stylish, and I really enjoyed my stay. The bed and pillows were so comfortable. One annoyance was the fire detector above the bed blinking through the night.

I had a very nice stay in the downtown Omaha area, about three miles from the airport. That felt close enough to be convenient without being right beside the airport, and the shuttle ran 24 hours a day at the time, which made getting there easy. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, with a well-kept updated feel. I didn't run into the cleanliness problems mentioned in some other reviews. There aren't convenience stores within easy walking distance, so snack and drink options were mostly whatever the hotel sold. The on-site restaurant was fine, though my burger was mediocre and nothing special. A solid downtown choice with nice rooms and useful amenities for travelers.

The gym had plenty of cardio equipment, a couple of weight machines, medicine balls, and free weights. The hotel was comfortable for spending a few days in Omaha, with friendly staff and a clean, comfy room. Its layout felt a bit more upscale than an ordinary hotel room: soft lighting by the headboard, a large window facing the bed, a chaise-style couch, and a small desk that would've been handy for work. In January the room was oddly humid. A ceiling sensor above the bed flashed occasionally, and there was an electric hum from somewhere we couldn't identify. Neither bothered me much, but someone sensitive to those things might not like it.
