EVEN Hotel Omaha Downtown - Old Market by IHG

We always enjoy staying at Even and will keep coming back. It’s clean and up to date, and a great place in Omaha to recharge. I like that wellness is encouraged, with yoga mats and yoga balls in the room as well as a beautiful gym. Cat greeted us when we arrived last night and was so kind, warm, and welcoming.

Crystal checked us in and was so sweet and helpful, and Alyssa took great care of us in the morning. We’ll come back specifically because of them. The hotel and room were beautiful, and the pool was nice and hot. The one downside was the hours: the site says the pool opens at 6 am, but it doesn’t open until 9.

Roni, Crystal, and Alyssa were amazing, and everyone I met was nice and helpful. We had a small room issue and called the front desk just to let them know so we wouldn’t get an extra bill. They moved us to another room at the same price, which worked out perfectly. The rock show we came for was a bust, so the stay ended up being more enjoyable, lol. Omaha parking still makes no sense to me, but I can’t blame the hotel for that. The bartender and breakfast chef were nice too. The food was good, though kind of expensive. The bathroom door was weird, but the bed was super soft and the pillows and comforter were amazing.

The staff are very nice, but the hotel itself wasn’t a good fit for me. It feels like you can work out in the gym and then go back to your room to work out some more. The writing on the walls feels juvenile, like signs on airplanes labeling the cockpit, door, or wheels, and the inspirational messages come across as shallow. I wouldn’t want to walk around outside at night because the area isn’t well lit. There’s a gym, but somehow asking for a microwave in the room is too much. I tried the shared one by the elevators, and it looked like a pizza had exploded in it.
