Holiday Inn Express & Suites Omaha West by IHG

We felt safe coming back at night, and the parking lot was nicely lit. The location worked well too, with shops and restaurants nearby and the interstate not far away. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Everyone was friendly, especially Stephanie, who was so kind and helpful. The breakfast attendant kept the food stocked and the area very clean. Five stars, we'd happily stay again.

The staff really made this a good stop. The front desk, housekeeping, and the breakfast attendant were all great, and I was well taken care of from check-in through breakfast. Just plan food ahead: shops start closing around 9, and the restaurants are shut by 10. Target and Walmart are nearby, and there’s plenty within two or three miles. I’d stay here again on trips east or west, for work or on the way through. That’s just my opinion, of course. Travel safely.

We came for the location, but the stay was awful. Our 30 lb dog was attacked on Friday by a dog weighing at least 90 lbs. My husband managed to stop it before it killed our dog. We told the front desk, but they did nothing. The other dog was still there when we left Monday, and it tried to attack ours again. Families with small children and dog owners, beware. This hotel allows dogs of any size or temperament. The building was run down, and breakfast had very little on offer and wasn't fit to eat. There was coffee out all day, but it wasn't kept warm. The only elevator broke Thursday night and was still out of order when we left Monday. The place also wasn't as clean as I'd like, there was a mousetrap with a mouse in it beside one of the exits.

The service was excellent, but that was the only pleasant part. There was no hot tub, despite it being listed among the amenities. The pool was cold and dirty, with bugs all around it. The bathroom had mold, and the room felt humid.
