Express Inn & Suites

I booked the best room through Expedia, the one with the big, cozy hot tub inside. The water got really hot, and the jets worked just as they should. They let me check in an hour early for $10, which wasn't bad, and checkout was simple with no hassle. I'd stay in this room again.

The sheets were the biggest problem. We found obvious stains all over them, including what looked like urine, lipstick, something brown, and other marks. One or two stains might have been understandable, but there was no way we could sleep comfortably with them that dirty. We went to the office for fresh sheets, but they insisted the sheets were clean and handed us two thin replacements, which were stained too. Later, a woman doing laundry downstairs finally gave us genuinely fresh sheets. We had already asked Booking.com about compensation because we were ready to leave, and wanted a partial refund for the false cleanliness rating of 8.4 out of 10. After our night there, the front desk called with a frustrated employee who said this should have been handled differently, then said a full refund was unacceptable because we'd be taking away someone's livelihood. We understood full compensation wasn't in our hands and weren't sure how Booking.com dealt with it. But after arguing on the phone at 7am, being told again the sheets were clean and that we were terrible guests, I'd had enough of the unprofessional nonsense and hung up. I wish I'd taken more pictures of the other sheets we gave them, which had even more stains. There won't be a next stay at this awful hotel. We were also met by a rude front desk worker, or possibly a manager, when we first arrived. This is the worst hotel I've stayed in. If I could give zero stars, I would. Don't bother booking here.

The room was very clean, the AC worked great, and there were so many lovely stray cats. It's also close to the airport, which was really convenient. The night and morning staff were very friendly. I booked through Expedia, and the deposit was clearly explained online and in a message. I got it back right at checkout.

The updated rooms have modern lighting and architecture, plus plenty of outlets for devices. The floors could have been swept more thoroughly, and I couldn't get the TV working at first, but an employee helped me figure it out. All in all, it's not a bad place.
