Hilton Garden Inn Orlando I-4 Millenia Blvd Mall

No wow factor here, and I won't stay again. Check-in was a mess, whether because the card keypad was malfunctioning or the operator needed more training. There was no ice in the machines on two floors, and the desk light in the room didn't work. Breakfast wasn't included and had to be preordered.

The layout of the rooms worked really well, and the hotel itself is beautiful and welcoming. At the bar, Franklin was kind and personable, served great drinks, and made it clear he cared about us enjoying our stay. The young woman at Reception greeted us with a smile and was keen to make sure our reservation was right. I'd recommend the hotel for a great experience.

Sean at the front desk made check-in easy and pleasant. He was warm, welcoming, and personable from the moment I arrived, and went out of his way to help. Good customer service like that feels hard to find lately, and he deserves recognition. The hotel was clean, my room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was convenient. Sean set the tone for a great visit. Hilton is lucky to have him.

The stay was okay. The staff were friendly, the entrance has been renovated, parking was plentiful, and the location put most places within about a 15-minute drive or less, including downtown Orlando, premium outlets, Universal Studios, and the Kia Center. I liked the comfortable bed, bedside reading lamps, roomy desk, and plenty of drawer and hanging storage. The room also had a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, TV channels for news, movies, and sports, plus basics like an iron and board, extra towels, toilet paper, a hairdryer, soap, lotion, body wash, and shampoo and conditioner. There was a gym and an ice machine on the floor. The pool is small and sits in front of the hotel by the guest parking. Parking costs $15 a day and is at your own risk. Breakfast costs extra, and non-Hilton members can buy a bottle of Pure Life water for $3. The furniture, carpet, and curtains are outdated. The shower has no extendable head, the head is tiny, and the water pressure is low, so it doesn't feel like you can get fully clean. The sliding door is very stiff, and there's no bathroom exhaust fan, so the door has to stay open for air. The window views weren't good.
