Extended Stay America Suites Kansas City Overland Pk Nall Av

I had to listen to people screaming in the hallways all night, and staff showed no concern or professionalism and did nothing to control it. The next morning I tried to leave because the conditions were unbearable, but I was charged for an extra night anyway. I repeatedly tried to reach the manager and got no response. My stay at the Extended Stay America on Nall Ave in Overland Park, Kansas, was awful from the moment I arrived. The room was disgusting, the halls reeked of mold, and the whole property felt neglected and unsanitary. It's the dirtiest, most rundown hotel I've stayed in. This location is a disgrace to the Extended Stay America brand. Save yourself the stress and stay far away.

We were two adults and a teenager, which is why we booked a two-bed room. Without telling us, they moved us to a king room with a pullout sofa. When we asked to have this fixed, they said there were no other rooms and they couldn't refund us so we could find another hotel. One of us had to sleep on the sofa bed, which was extremely uncomfortable, with a very thin mattress and a big bar running across the middle. There wasn't an extra sofa mattress available when we asked for one. The sofa headboard was covered in stains, the room smelled of mold even after we sprayed air freshener, and the toilets flushed so loudly they startled us. The front desk staff were very friendly and apologetic, but couldn't resolve any of this.

The room was very clean and better than I expected. It was my first time in Kansas City, and I didn't know my way around, but the woman checking me in was welcoming and kind. She suggested a few places, was really helpful, and we had a good conversation. I didn't get her name, but she was working Sunday night, Nov 2.

The rooms are solid, with an updated TV and a suite setup that includes two electric burners, a fridge, and microwave. The staff were friendly and kind, and the hotel is close to the highway for easy access.
