DoubleTree by Hilton Owatonna

My company booked me here, and I was really pleased with the place. The lobby and entrance look great, with a fireplace and seating nearby, plus another area with couches and chairs. My room was very clean and had an up-to-date smart TV, a fridge, and a small coffee maker. The bathroom had a hair dryer, and there was an iron and ironing board in the closet. Parking was plentiful, and they handed me a warm Double Tree cookie at check-in. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

I'm here for a long work stay, and having a microwave in the room has made a real difference. Evelyn at the front desk was friendly, knew the local area, and helped arrange one for me. I can manage without a microwave on a short visit, but for weeks of work I need to heat leftovers and other things. I've spent thousands of nights at Hilton hotels, so I expect a certain level of care and professionalism. The staff here, especially Evelyn, have gone well beyond what I expected.

Jessica put in a lot of effort before and during our Saturday afternoon event for 125 guests, handling our requests and a few unexpected complications. A few things did fall through, but the experience overall was good. The event center is appealing, flexible, newly remodeled, and well equipped. We used the kitchen to prepare hors d'oeuvres, which was convenient and felt professional. I didn't taste the food, so can't comment on it. The manager also provided a room for nursing mother's at no extra charge, which we appreciated.

The new lobby is beautiful, and the rooms look modern and really nice after Hilton's renovation. I stayed one night while traveling north and would stop here again. The restaurant has new cooks and staff who are looking forward to serving good food, and they're putting in a new indoor water park.
