Ivy Palm Resort and Spa

The staff are easily the best part of this hotel. They’re some of the kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, and they work hard to fix problems. When our toilet wasn’t working properly in the first room, they moved us to a nicer one. The new owner also makes a point of helping guests feel happy and comfortable. The hotel was being renovated during our stay, so only one pool was open and some things weren’t available. The rooms were already nice and are expected to get a more modern, chic update. At the time I’m writing this, the prices are very reasonable for the area. Thanks to the Ivy Palm Resort staff for making our stay enjoyable and always bringing a smile when you stop to chat.

Our stay was an awful experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this “resort” to anyone. There were holes in the walls, torn flooring, box springs used as beds, and room descriptions that didn’t match what we got. We’d booked a king room with a couch, but were told on arrival that the reservation had come through as a standard room with two beds. Our receipt didn’t help, and they said the last king room had just been given away. We raised the issue, but were assured the manager would sort it out in the morning. After one of the roughest nights I can remember, we went to the desk. The bed was a box spring with a dirty four-inch topper on it. The manager then said our original room had flooded and that we were lucky to get any room at all. No one had told us before we arrived after our nine-hour drive, and she didn’t seem concerned about the terrible bedding. We paid for a room that apparently was never available, and management didn’t make any effort to address the experience. This was the most appalling interaction I’ve had in all my years visiting Palm Springs. Your rental car would be a better place to sleep.

The property was a pleasant surprise for my group and me when we stayed at the Ivy Palm Resort for an event. The grounds are attractive and well cared for, the rooms are clean and simple, and my bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was ice cold and the TV was a good size. The pools are huge and clean, and the spa was nice. Breakfast did the job, especially for free, and the location is convenient for downtown P.S. The service stood out most. From check-in through the event and checkout, the staff were terrific and eager to go above and beyond. You could see how hard everyone worked all day. I’d absolutely stay again and recommend it to a friend. Thanks for everything!

My favorite thing was the pool area, with daybeds and palm trees. The location worked well too: downtown Palm Springs is a ten-minute walk, but the hotel sits away from the busy main stretch. Prices are very reasonable for the area, and I’d stay again. The staff were all friendly, the beds comfortable, and breakfast was standard. Our room was basic and smelled a little musty. The hotel is due for renovation, and the rooms could use it. A few parking lot lights, four or five, weren’t on at night. I’d also like the rooms aired out and some extra charm, maybe lights around the palm trees in the evening. Looking forward to seeing the renovation.
