Days Inn Brigham City

It’s quiet and in a good location, and the place is clean enough. The breakfast was basic and not very good: you can microwave an “omelet” from the little fridge or make a waffle, but there’s no protein or potatoes. Those would need to be served in hot trays. The carpet is the worst installation I’ve seen, with wrinkles everywhere that seem like trip hazards. It may have looked nice when it was new, but not now. They’ve had awards for many years, though none recently. It looks like Days Inn themselves last considered it a top place more than 10 years ago. Would I stay again? Probably, if there were no other options.

This might do if all you need is somewhere to sleep. The first room smelled of smoke, but they quickly gave me another one at no extra charge. There’s plenty of damage that’s been patched instead of properly repaired. The toilet had a crack running all the way down and had been glued back together. Someone had also broken the marble in the shower, and that had been glued back too.

The room was comfortable and clean, with a mattress that looked nearly new. The bathroom was tidy, and the towels were neatly arranged. We felt safe there, and the included breakfast was a welcome extra before getting back on the road. I booked through Expedia, and online check-in was quick and easy. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. The A/C was already on when we arrived, but it kept cycling on and off, which might bother light sleepers. The elevator and hallways felt dated and warm. For an overnight stop, it was convenient, efficient, and a good value.

The staff were fantastic, and I really liked the hotel’s location just off the freeway. We had a few problems with the heater, but it was a comfortable stay overall.
