Fairmount Motel

Possibly the worst room I've had. The air conditioner kept overworking and tripping the circuit breaker. There wasn't an ice maker or coffee in the room, the bathroom sink was broken, and the water never got hot. I could go on and on.

We only stayed because there wasn't much available, and the place was a complete disaster. The woman who gave us the key came out in the morning, clearly drunk, to answer some guy knocking at the door. Earlier, she had walked over from the gas station after we paid and told us the hot water tank was broken. Before that, the attendant had given us the keys, and the woman had asked my wife and me if strippers were joining us, then said to invite her if they were. As we brought our bags in, we saw the TV was missing though the cable box was still there. There were a few large spiders, the beds felt like box springs, and the door locks didn't work properly. I highly recommend finding a safer alternative in Port Angeles, Washington.

There was a strong laundry detergent smell as soon as we entered the room. The staff checking people in at the gas station next door were nice, but the amenities were minimal, just Wi-Fi and TV. It felt as if nobody expected guests to stay more than one night or use toiletries. Where are you supposed to put a toothbrush? There was a lot of noise through the night because of the location. Our room was missing a chain lock and an outdoor lightbulb. On our last night, something that sounded like a wild animal was yowling, then a door shut firmly behind it. The whole thing felt unsettling.

Disgusting motel. We stayed in 2023 and there were lots of spiders in the bathroom, plus loud partying next door. We had booked three nights, but canceled the reservation the next morning and stayed elsewhere. They told us we'd get a refund, but it never came. Any good review of this place is probably made up.
